Sorry I didn't write yesterday, but nothing of real note happened. I had one very poor elimination about twenty minutes after I ate lunch and that was it. My stomach was bloated and I felt really puffy and ugly. Needless to say I was annoyed that the bloating had to happen on the one night my boyfriend and I could get together.... (ugh!).
So yes, I was so disgusted by how I looked, felt, and the general poor eliminations yesterday that I was too depressed to even write about it.
But I did up the Kleri-tea's steeping time around four minutes, and well, you can read about today in my next post!

Day 2 > Dr.Nutra Colonoix Cleanse> Update
I had another elimination this afternoon. All in all I'm very pleased with today. I'm thinking that the extra water really did the trick. Of course there hasn't been any really major results yet, like the one on the site (seriously, if you go on the site be warned the gallery is um, GROSS!) but I'm sure eventually I'll get interesting results.
Well, I'll be boiling my water to steep my Kleri-tea and going to bed soon. I'll make sure to post tomorrow with any interesting developments.

Day 2 > Dr.Nutra Colonoix Cleanse - Sweet Release!
Well, just as I was typing the last few lines of my last post, I had the urge to go to the restroom. It looks like the extra water did the trick and I had an elimination. Nothing too crazy, just an urge to go then I went. I'm glad that the Colonix is gentle and I don't have to worry about stomach craps or rushing to do my business.
Oh, I also want to note that this happened about fifteen minutes after eating lunch. I've heard many people say that they have a bowel movement after eating, but having been chronically backed up all my life, I've never really experienced this phenomenon. Perhaps my body is learning how to regulate itself. Or maybe it has something to do with my new high fiber vegan diet. Who knows, either way, I'm thrilled to be regular.
More on my dietary changes later. I'll be writing a little about my new vegan outlook, and what finally changed my Midwestern view on animal products. Just a hint, it has less to do with the farming practices, and a lot to do with the slaughtering house. Anyway, that's another post for another time, until then, dear readers, be as healthy and productive as you can!
Day 2 > Dr.Nutra Colonoix Cleanse
Well, I took the Parnil this morning, waiting 15 minutes, then took the Colonix Fiber in a cup of lemonade.
I have to say, it's not the taste that gets to me with the powder, it's the texture. I'm sure that if I put this in a banana smoothie I'd never know it was in there and the texture wouldn't be so weird. But I want to make sure I drink it quickly so that it doesn't gel up on me, so for now, I'll just suck it up and deal with the texture issue.
Oh, as for the elimination situation, I didn't have one this morning, even though I upped the steeping time for the Kleri-tea. But I did have an elimination about fifteen minutes after taking the fiber supplement, so that was good. The thing is, people report two and three eliminations a day on this stuff and I get one. Sure, it's a great improvement from my one every three days, but hey this stuff is expensive and I want to get my money's worth, ya know? I figure if upping my water intake and my steeping time doesn't help, I'll be sure to call customer service and ask for advice.
While we're on the subject of customer service, let me tell you, I talked with a customer service rep while placing my order and he was incredibly helpful. He smoothed out a minor order issue, then proceeded to explain which pages contained the directions on how to use the kit and not to hesitate to call if I had any questions or concerns. He really seemed like a genuinely kind customer care rep who enjoyed his job and wanted to make sure I had the best possible experience. Being in the customer care field, I know good service when I hear it, so I was very pleased with the way everything went.
So that's it for now, let's hope the water does the trick for me today!

Day 1 > Evening Kleri-tea
Well, I made it through the day and didn't have another elimination the rest of the day. I suppose I should up my water intake and see if that helps me get things moving during the day. After all, most people were reporting eliminations three and four times a day.
So to help things along I steeped my tea for a good two minutes tonight in hops that will get things moving along tomorrow.
Well, that's the end of day one. Let's hope all goes well tomorrow.

Day 1 Update
It's 10:44am and I just finished my Parnil caps and Colonix fiber about 15 minutes ago. I did eliminate for the first time today. Wasn't unpleasant or urgent, just a normal evacuation. I'm very pleased that I don't feel like I have to run to the restroom every five minutes.
Day 1 > Parnil + Fiber
Before I get into how well the Kleri-tea worked. I want to start out by saying that last night I had a seizure in my sleep. That is to say, I woke up with a racing heart only to feel my arms and legs stretching out and going rigid, while my hands and feet twisted down and to the side. It was a truly frightening experience, and one I hope never to repeat. Let's just hope this isn't the start of a whole new set of problems.
Now on to the tea. I woke up and went to the restroom this morning but didn't have an urge to "go". That's okay though because I only steeped the tea for a little over a minute because I didn't want to risk Senna tummy. Senna tummy being the awful cramps that happen when you've ingested too much Senna leaf. Trust me, it's painful! But I digress...
Next thing on my agenda was to take the two Parnil capsules. They smelled pleasant, a bit like cinnamon, and washed down easily with a little water.
Next up was the dreaded fiber powder (dun, dun, DUN!!) which I mixed with some lemonade I had sitting in my refrigerator. I started to chug it but a little of the powder caught in the back of my throat so I had to slow down. I cringed a bit thinking I was about to experience a nasty bitter taste once I gave myself a chance to experience the actual taste, but it turned out to be not so bad. By that I mean, it wasn't the best thing I've ever drank, but it certainly was not the worst! If anything it was the texture that gave me pause. But hey, it's a fiber drink, it's going to be weird and powdery!

In the end, I'd give the powder 4 stars out of 5 for taste, not so much because it tastes good but because it doesn't taste bad, and if you've ever taken a powdered fiber supplement, that's a God send! As for the Parnil capsules, I can't really judge. They're capsules so they don't really have a taste. I'll have to wait and rate them based on whether or not I think they're effective I guess.
Well, here's to a successful cleanse. I look forward to sharing my journey with you! Until then dear readers, take care and be well, or as well as you can!

Clari-Tea
I'm about to start my Dr.Nutra journey. Sure,I could wait until tomorrow to do everything in order, but, frankly, I'm just too excited to wait. So I heated up my water (on my gas range in a pan, not in the microwave, as per the instructions), poured the water into a little coffee mug, and tossed the little tea disk in for a little under two minutes.
Now, I've had senna based teas before, but this one actually smelled good! It's a bit like apple pie spice, with a dash of mint. And the taste? Well, it tastes wonderful. In fact, I'm actually looking forward to having a cup of it every night.
All in all, I'd give my first experience with Clari-tea a solid 4.5 stars out of 5. It tastes great and is easy to make, but I did deduct half a point because I prefer a tea bag, with a string attached, for easy retrieval.
Well, that's it for now, I'll be sure to blog tomorrow about my progress. I have to admit, I'm sort of dreading the fiber powder. I've never liked the stuff and I don't have any juice in the house to choke it down with. Stayed tuned to see if I survive!
Dr.Nutra to the Rescue?
Today I received my Dr.Nutra Colonix kit. I've been waiting all week for it, so when I got home tonight and it was sitting there on the table, I was totally stoked! :)
For those not familiar with Dr.Nutra's products, feel free to click the hyper-link above and read up on the Colonix and Toxinout programs. There are hundreds of testimonials, and some rather gruesome photos that you may want to steer clear of if you have a weak stomach. Seriously, I'm all for photographic proof of a product's efficacy, but the gallery was way too much for me. But if you decide to venture there, well, don't come crying to me about needing to pour bleach into your eye sockets after being mind raped by scary poop pictures. Dude, I'm not kidding you, you have been warned!
So why, you may ask, would I be interested in a product that erm, helps me evacuate properly? Well, after doing everything I could to change my lifestyle and seeing very little change in my condition, I did what I always do when faced with a challenge. I Googled it. Yes, I freaking Googled it. I was fed up to the gills with all the doctor apointments, the drugs, the fainting, and the weird hand and leg tremors, I knew that I had to step it up a notch or I may end up spending more time laying in bed than living my life.
So after searching for a safe alternative therapy, I happened onto Dr. Nutra's site. Here I read story after story of people just like me with similar symptoms. People with fatigue, dizziness, headache, muscle weakness, etc. People who were at the end of their ropes praying for a cure, or at least some relief. These people all tried Dr.Nutra and within a few months they began to sleep better, had more energy, acne cleared up, and they were "regular" for the first time in their lives.
If you've ever had a chronic illness, then you know how these types of testimonials can really tug at you. There comes a point where you're willing to risk nearly anything to feel better again. In my case, I plunked down $93.00 for a month's supply (Dr. Nutra suggests a three month course you first time cleansing), knowing full well that I could return within 60 days for a full refund.
So here I am, night one, with a big box of hope staring me in the face. I pray this is at least a part of the solution I've been looking for. If not, well, at least I can have my money back.

Cope
Several months ago, after many doctor's visits, exams, and one second opinion, I resigned myself to having a little something called neurocardiogenic syncope. What the hell is that? Well:
"Neurocardiogenic syncope is a temporary loss of consciousness associated with a drop in arterial blood pressure, quickly followed by a slowed heart rate (Grubb & McMann, 2001, p. 133)."In other words, I faint, a lot. Like a hell of a lot. Which as you can imagine, blows - a lot.
So what's to be done about this little problem? Surely there's a cure, right? Right? Wrong.
Sure, there are medicines that help regulate my blood pressure, and one that helps me retain water, and thus, sodium (every girl's dream!). But none of these pills in themselves is a cure. Some day, I may be bad enough to get a pace maker, andthat may very well regulate my blood flow, but until that day, I will continue with my pills.
Besides the pills I have made some lifestyle changes suggested by my various doctors. I have started drinkingmore water, tried to cut back on my use of caffeine (which has only been mildly successful), and started to walk everyday just a little bit (we're not talking fist pumping, mall-walking here, just slow strolls). I'd have to say though that my favorite lifestyle change has been adding more salt to my diet. Yes, I was actually told that I should add moresalt to my diet. For anyone that knows me, this is a laughable idea. Seriously, the only way I could add more saltto my diet is if I added table salt to my Cheetos. But I digress...
All in all, despite the new medicine, and the lifestyle changes. There are still days that I can barely get outof bed. I bob and weave drunkenly, like a new born baby calf. I've fallen and smacked my hips, head, face, knees, you name it. On those days I cope by walk/crawling from chair to chair. I make more jokes on those days. Especially when I come to with a concerned friend, coworker, or parent hovering over me.
So here I am. In all my knock-kneed glory. Faint-y and full of self-deprecating metaphors, this is a place whereI can be productive while still in my pajamas, tucked safely into bed. I hope that by sharing my ups and downs, I can find a voice, and maybe even a few kindred spirits dealing withthe same, or similar issues.
